Ponganalu (పొ౦గనాలు) is a traditional snack item of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka. It is a fluffy and smooth food item. It is sometimes stuffed with onions, corn or coriander for taste. You can cook Ponganalu / Bonda using 12 ingredients and 8 steps. Here is how you cook that.
Ingredients of Ponganalu / Bonda
- You need 1/4 cup of rice flour.
- It's 1/4 cup of semolina/rava.
- You need 1/2 cup of all purpose flour.
- It's 1/2 tsp of jeera.
- It's 7-8 of curry leaves chopped.
- Prepare 2 of medium onion chopped.
- You need 4 of green chilli finely chopped.
- You need as needed of Few coriander leaves chopped.
- Prepare to taste of Salt.
- You need 1/4 tsp of red chilli powder.
- Prepare 1 pinch of baking soda.
- Prepare as needed of Water.

Ponganalu / Bonda instructions
- Firstly collect all ingridents. Chop onion, green chilli, curry leaves and coriander leaves..
- Take big bowl and combine all ingridents. Mix well..
- Now slowly add the water little at a time to get a slightly thick batter..
- Now add baking soda and mix well..
- Heat oil for deep frying, when the oil gets hot put small droplets of the batter in the oil..
- Fry in medium flame and in batches until the ponganalu is nicely golden..
- Transfer to a paper napkin to remove excess oil..
- Serve hot with any chutney of your choice and with a cup of tea or coffee..
