    Apa Amma's Famous Brownies Recipe

    With so many brownie recipes out there, it can be hard to decide which ones to use. After all, everyone has their own preferences when it comes to this popular treat, and the last thing you want to do is make something that no one will like. If you’re looking for the ultimate brownie recipe, look no further than this one from my grandmother, who makes them just like her mom did, and my mother before her. And yes, they really are that good. Here’s how to make them at home!


    8 ounces semisweet chocolate chips 4 tablespoons butter 1/2 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder dash of salt Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x9 inch square pan. Melt chocolate and butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir until smooth. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla; mix well. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt; mix well.

    1 1⁄4 cups all-purpose flour 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder 1⁄4 teaspoon salt 1 cup butter, melted 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted 1 3⁄4 cups sugar 3 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 6 oz (1 cup) semisweet chocolate chips 1⁄2 cup walnuts Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan. Mix together dry ingredients in a large bowl; set aside.

    How to prepare

    To prepare brownies, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Butter an 8 inch square pan and set aside. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside. Cream butter or margarine and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Beat in vanilla extract, chocolate syrup or coffee extract, then nuts.

    Bake in oven

    Preheat oven to 325°F. Line a 13x9x2-inch baking pan with foil and spray with cooking spray. Set aside. In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa and salt together until well combined. Add butter and mix until crumbly; set aside 1/2 cup of mixture for topping.
